Indian Family Deported As ‘Burden’

Indian-Family Kicked-From Australia-As BurdenAustralia is a popular destination for many Indians who want to live, work, or study abroad. Indians migrate to Australia for various reasons, such as seeking better economic opportunities, jobs, and incomes, pursuing higher education or quality education, or joining their family members or partners.

However, migration is not always easy or smooth. Indians face many difficulties when they try to settle in their new home. For example, they may encounter visa issues, language barriers, cultural differences, discrimination, or isolation.

They may also experience racism and violence from some segments of the Australian society, especially during times of crisis or tension. Indians are one of the fastest-growing communities in Australia, but they face discrimination in different areas, such as education, politics, media, and everyday life.

A recent example of this is the case of a family who have lived in Australia for nine years are facing deportation to India. The reason is that their son has autism, which the Immigration Department says could be a burden on the health system. The family appealed the decision, but they were denied. They started an online petition to ask the government to let them stay, and they got over 100,000 signatures. The family’s lawyer thinks the decision is unfair and discriminatory.
