His company applied for his H1B visa on June 18, but it has yet to be approved, keeping him in a difficult situation since his mother, who has been battling cancer in India for two years, is now in her final stages.

“My mom back in India has been battling cancer for the past two years, and now she is in her last stages. She wants me to be by her side,” he wrote. Unfortunately, and despite this being the most serious situation, he has problems with legality that render him unable to travel: “My immigration attorney told me that if I go out of the States before my visa gets approved, it will be automatically rejected.
