Many people have a certain passion for motorsports and speed gives them the adrenaline rush they need. However, indulging in such passion on the streets is not only illegal but highly dangerous for everyone out there. An Indian origin man has been arrested in the UK for killing an old lady in a road rage.
An 81 year old Sikh woman was killed in a high speed car crash that involved two vehicles. The incident took place on Oldbury Road in Rowley Regis, West Midlands. Another man has been arrested for the same who was driving a different vehicle.
According to the police, the two of them didn’t know each other and met at the traffic signal where they decided to race each other. They were going well over the speed limit and the car driven by the Indian origin man crashed into the old lady as she was crossing the street.
Both of them have pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving. They have been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment and they can’t drive for 8 years. The woman was on her way to the gurdwara when the accident took place.
