In a tragic incident, an Indian origin student in the USA was found dead outside a nightclub after he was denied entry. According to the local media, the 18 year old Indian American was a student at the University of Illinois. He had gone out to the nightclub with his friends and had been drinking.
Around 11:30, he was denied re-entry at the club and had to stay outside. It was found that he turned down two rideshare vehicles and stayed in the freezing cold outside. His friends tried reaching him but all calls went unanswered.
The campus police were soon informed and an officer was dispatched to look for him but he was not found. The next morning, he was found laying on concrete steps only 4 minutes away from the nightclub.
The medical experts have said that he died because of hypothermia caused by acute alcohol intoxication and prolonged exposure to freezing temperatures. This tragic death has raised some serious questions that the University administration must answer.
It is not clear why the student was denied re-entry into the club. There needs to be a proper investigation into the matter to find any kind of accountability of the involved parties.
