Indian Students Face Joblessness in Canada

Canada has become a trap for many Indian students who are struggling with joblessness. The recent picture comes from a job fair organized by Tim Horton’s in the city of Toronto. Here we see an Indian student from York University being greeted with a long queue full of Indian students, just like him waiting to secure a job at the fair. Nishit uploaded this video on Instagram, and it has raked up a million views, with people commenting how they too were a part of the line and are still jobless.

In the video, Nishit can be seen standing with his CV in hand, waiting in the never-ending line. Everyone there needs to get a part-time job to meet their expenses. Nishit and people like him in Canada are struggling with severe joblessness. The student speaks of his woes in the video. Stating how he has been jobless and is constantly looking for one for the last six months. The video reports that the people at Tim Horton’s just took the CVs of the applicants, who were told they would receive a call. However, the comment section of the video has not even a single person claiming to have received one.

Recently, Canada and India have seen a lot of tension regarding political and diplomatic clashes. Not just that, racism in Canada against people of Indian origin runs rampant. Could this be a factor in the large number of jobless Indian students in Canada? The students, on the other hand, cannot care less about the tension between communities; all they want is a stable income to meet their needs in a place as expansive as Canada.
