A young woman from a rural village in Ludhiana, India, who had moved to the USA, met a tragic end when she was fatally shot by a friend she had known from Malaysia.The victim, named Harpreet Kaur, had gained popularity on social media.
The incident unfolded as she invited her friend, Simranjit Singh, to a mall in Roseville, USA. Despite their previous disagreements, she hoped to reconcile. Unfortunately, Simranjit Singh shot her in the mall’s parking area, leading to her untimely death. He was swiftly apprehended by the police.
Harpreet’s family, led by her father Harwinder Singh, is now grappling with the distressing task of repatriating her body from the morgue, currently under the custody of Roseville Police.
The family’s journey had begun in a humble Indian village but improved considerably in Malaysia after years of hard work.
Nevertheless, this devastating incident has left them shattered, feeling that the USA, in contrast to Malaysia, has robbed them of their beloved daughter. Simranjit Singh, who stands accused of the crime, faces charges of homicide.
