Indian Worker Dead

Many Indian workers move to foreign countries in search for better work opportunities. Some are ready to even take the illegal route for it. But it’s important to ask if the risk is even worth it. An Indian farm worker died after he was left bleeding along a street in Italy and it has sparked huge protests around the country.

The Indian government is demanding strict action against the employer of the worker who left him to die after suffering a farm injury. It is claimed that the worker who worked in a strawberry farm has had his arm severed by the farm machine which caused intense bleeding.

Instead of taking him to a hospital, the employer left him bleeding. He was later airlifted to a hospital but he died during the treatment. It is also claimed that the worker came into Italy illegally.

Labour exploitation is a big problem in the country and many farms are employing Immigrants, many of them illegal, at very cheap rates. The fear of deportation allows the employers to exploit the workers.

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni has said that the matter will be investigated. Trade unions and worker unions are protesting against the incident.
