The US elections are less than two months away and it will not only change the landscape of America but have a major impact on other countries as well. Thus, during the presidential debate, the question was what did the two candidates have to say about India.
Well, it turns out this year’s US election is more focused on local issues and mentions of India were absent during Harris and Trump’s war of words. However, there were still some key issues discussed that could have an impact on the country.

The biggest point for India was the mention of China in the debate, which is also one of India’s rivals. It was clear that both leaders held the communist country in a negative light when they discussed tech, especially focussing on chips. This means if the US decides to curb Chinese industries they might look toward an alternative in India. This could significantly benefit the growing semiconductor and tech industries in the country.
Another key issue for Indians is immigration. As Canada has thrown a curve ball to low-wage immigrant workers, everyone was worrying if the US will do something similar. However, it seems there are no curbs on legal and skilled immigration in sight. This means that Indians will now carefully weigh their options of which North American Country they would like to work in.
