The biggest city in the world is ready to elect a new mayor to rule. London is going to hold elections for the position of mayor and the members of the London assembly next month. An Indian origin candidate wants to run London like a ‘seasoned CEO’ and is also hopeful of getting the votes required to win the post.
Tarun Gulati, a Delhi based businessman is contesting as an independent candidate for the position and believes the city needs his investment plans. He wants to revive the city’s fortune as the “global bank of the world”.
He is going to give a tough competition to Sadiq Khan who will be contesting for a third term as the mayor of London. He also wants to scrap many policies introduced by Khan which are not very popular among the masses.
Tarun wants to turn London into a ‘profitable corporate’ and run it effectively and efficiently. He is one of the 13 candidates who are contesting for the position of mayor. The city is going to vote on the 2nd of May.
