Holding a powerful passport comes with its own privileges. Ignoring the hassle of getting a visa approved is definitely the biggest perk that a strong passport entails. But it’s not limited to it. A strong passport ensures a likely smooth immigration process and saves you from any kind of hostility that others might be subjected to. There’s good news for all Indian passport holders as it is now more powerful than ever.
The Indian passport has jumped up 3 spots on the list and now ranks 80th out of the 194 countries on the list. This has been possible because of more countries allowing visa free access to Indians. Now Indians can travel to 62 countries without a visa.
On the other hand, the worst performing passports of the world belonged to Afghanistan, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan. A Pakistani can travel to only 34 countries without a visa. Singapore, Japan, France, Spain and Germany jointly held the top rank.
Indians can travel to countries like Barbados, Bolivia, Indonesia, Iran, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Qatar, Seychelles, Thailand, Zimbabwe etc without a Visa. Last year India ranked 83rd on the list. The diplomatic relationship between India and several countries has India up the list.
