In a shocking incident on an IndiGo flight from America to Indore, via Udaipur, an NRI woman, a trainee pilot residing in the United States, faced alleged molestation by a fellow passenger.
The victim, accompanied by her husband, reported that the man sitting next to her had touched her inappropriately, prompting her to raise the issue with the flight crew.
Disturbingly, despite her complaint, the crew seemingly dismissed the incident as accidental contact and changed the accused’s seat, downplaying the severity of the situation.
When the woman sought assistance from security personnel and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) staff, her grievances were reportedly ignored, leaving her frustrated and unprotected.
Frustrated with the lack of support, the woman decided to take matters into her own hands by filing an official complaint at the Aerodrome police station in Indore.
The police registered a case under IPC section 354, focusing on assault or criminal force against a woman with the intent to outrage her modesty. Further investigation awaits information about the accused from the airline.
