Adam Harrison, the son of “Pawn Stars” creator and actor Rick Harrison, died at the age of 39. On Friday, Rick Harrison posted a photo of himself and his son Adam at a restaurant as a tribute on his Instagram page. “You’ll always be in my heart!” Harrison wrote, “I love you, Adam,” followed by a broken heart emoji.
Laura Herlovich, the Harrison family’s Public Relations Representative, told the Associated Press that Adam died as a result of a suspected drug overdose.” Our family was deeply devastated by Adam’s death,” the message said. “We ask for privacy as we lament his loss,” Herlovich told the Associated Press that she had no idea where Harrison died or what caused the overdose.
Rick Harrison has been on the History Channel program with his entire family since 2009. It focuses on family ties and the daily operations of Gold & Silver Pawn, a storefront shop on Las Vegas Boulevard.
Adam Harrison did not appear on “Pawn Stars” despite having previously worked at Gold & Silver Pawn. The show does, however, star Harrison’s oldest son, Corey Harrison. His youngest son, Jake Harrison, has also made appearances in recent years.
