When police arrived to free an abducted teen from her kidnapper, it felt like the teenage girl would finally be free. But what happened next shook everyone, as the police themselves became the reason for her death. A newly released video shows how California police, who went to rescue the girl, shot her instead resulting in her death.
The incident took place on a busy highway in California. The 15 year old girl was abducted by her own father who had killed the mother of the girl a day before. The man who kidnapped her is believed to have her at gunpoint.
The incident included a high-speed car chase on the highway with the vehicle of the suspect going as fast as 175 kmph. When the vehicle stopped, the girl managed to get out of the car and advance towards the police officers. Gunshots were heard after that and the girl was down.
One of the police officers can be heard saying “stop shooting her”. She was declared dead at the local hospital. Her father was also gunned down in the shootout and died on spot. He had fired many shots at the police from his vehicle during the chase.
