There has been a rapid increase in the number of house burglaries that target especially Indian Americans in the state of Washington. The police department of Snohomish County has increased search to gather public help in order to investigate these cases. The rising number of crimes against Indian Americans is a matter of concern but one of the reasons cited by the police department is simply ridiculous.
The police said that since most of the Indian Americans are not US citizens, they might not carry a gun with them and that’s why they are being targeted. For a highly developed nation like the USA, it is worrying to find out that your safety is dependent on the firearm you’re carrying.
Instead of addressing the real problem of rising hate crime in the country, the authorities want to blame the victims for not protecting themselves. If to feel safe in America you need a gun then what is the use of law enforcement agencies in the country.
The gun culture in the US is one of the leading causes for rampant violence and crime in the country. Instead of putting curbs on free gun use, the US is promoting gun culture as a measure for protection. If gun is the final solution then what is preventing USA from becoming an anarchy.
