If you’re out on a date with your partner or having a really nice bonding moment with your friends, the last thing you want is someone to interrupt and kill the mood. We often go out to restaurants with the best of ambiance to find the perfect space where we can share a good time with our loved ones. But at times such a space can be far from reality. An Indian American CEO has expressed her frustration towards restaurants in the US on X.
The woman wrote a long post on X complaining how American restaurants have no concept about dining experience. She said that waiters in these restaurants would interrupt you when you’re having an intimate moment with someone asking stupid things.
She also expressed her anger towards restaurants trying to throw you out as soon as you have finished your meal. She said that these restaurants won’t let anyone sit in peace if they sense that you are about to finish your meal.
Her frustration wasn’t limited to just restaurants, she also expressed her anger towards loud music being played in bars. She also said that if she could, she would make it illegal for waiters to interrupt and would also ban loud music from bars.
Her frustration towards the restaurants is justified as the problem of being interrupted is global in some respect.
American restaurants don’t have the concept of letting people enjoy their dining experience. You can be having an intimate conversation & the waiter won’t think twice before interrupting you about something stupid.
