
The US has issued a warning to foreign students including Indian students that their visas would be cancelled if they are caught bunking classes.
The US Embassy in India announced the new rule on Tuesday. If one drops out of college, leaves the study programme without informing, the student visas will be cancelled, they informed.

But it does not stop here. As per the new guidelines, if the student visa gets cancelled, they will not be eligible for other visas. Hence, the US Embassy has specifically said that the students must continue on their visas.
It is known that the Donald Trump government is dealing strictly with students. From causes like supporting the Palestine movement to trivial reasons like overspeeding, the students are being sent home. This includes Indian students too.

While some are returning home, some are approaching Courts.
Recently, the US issued warning to those undergoing OPT (optical practical training) training. The students were asked to divulge their job status within 90 days, barring which their visas will be revoked. This has led to confusion among OPT trainees.

According to statistics, 18 lakh students are studying in foreign universities. While US was the dream destination in the past, students are favoring Canada, UK these days. A record 3,31,602 students went to the US last year.
