The search for a missing Indian student in the United Kingdom has come to a tragic end after police found his dead body in a lake. The 23 year old deceased had been missing since last Thursday and extensive search was being carried out to find him. The police divers found his body in Lake Canary Wharf in South Quay.
It is believed that the deceased went for a night out with friends on Thursday and had been missing ever since. The Metropolitan police found his body on Wednesday afternoon. His family has been informed by the police however a formal identification is yet to take place.
CCTV footage suggests that he was last seen in the South Quay area on Friday. The police have sent their condolences to the family and the community while an investigation is underway. He was a student studying in London.
The police have found no evidence so far to suggest any involvement of foul play but a thorough investigation is underway to understand the situation that led to his death. Police have asked anyone with further information to come forward and help in the investigation.
