The minimum income threshold for this visa scheme has been revised and significantly increased. This is also valid for the people of Indian descent who have been using the family visa for long.

The threshold income has been increased by a shocking 55 percent. Previously the minimum income requirement was £18,600 which has been revised to £29,000. The new policy is seen as a pro-rich scheme which wants only the rich to enter the UK.

Majority of the visa seekers belonged to families with low income looking for an opportunity to start a new life but the new policy is going to impact them.
