A US immigrant is frustrated after the USCIS failed four times to update their address online. Despite following every instruction, their new address still isn’t reflected in the system.
Repeated attempts, no success
The immigrant mailed the new address twice after being advised to send it physically. Still, the address remains unchanged. This repeated failure has delayed their immigration process due to a missed notice.
Missed notice causes delay
The USCIS sent the applicant’s I-797C biometrics appointment notice to the old address. Although the post office forwarded it, the notice arrived after the appointment date had already passed.
No clear solution in sight
Experts say the immigrant has done everything possible. Their only option now is to keep contacting the USCIS and wait for the system to reflect the correct address.
A sign of deeper system flaws
The failure to process both online and mailed address changes points to serious inefficiency within the USCIS. Such errors don’t just delay cases they weaken the trust immigrants place in the agency. Without major reform, these issues will keep causing needless frustration.
