Farhan-Raashii Eyes OTT Redemption After Major Fails

120 Bahadur OTT release

120 Bahadur, starring Farhan Akhtar, is set to reach a much wider audience through its OTT release. The war drama is now preparing for a key digital shift after a modest theatrical run.

If reports are to be believed, the film will be available for free streaming on Amazon Prime Video from January 16, 2026. This move is expected to significantly boost its viewership among Prime subscribers.

The film originally released in theatres in November 2025. It received largely positive reviews from critics, who praised its performances and emotional depth.

Despite the appreciation, 120 Bahadur failed to make a strong mark at the box office. Its theatrical run remained limited, preventing it from achieving commercial success.

Following its cinema release, the film premiered on Amazon Prime Video as a rental title. It was priced at approximately Rs. 350, which restricted audience access.

Due to limited response under the pay-per-view model, the makers decided to shift the film to free streaming for Prime subscribers. This change aims to give the film a second chance.

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai, the film stars Raashii Khanna alongside Farhan Akhtar. Both actors have been going through a challenging phase at the box office.

Raashii Khanna delivered notable performances in The Sabarmati Report and Telusu Kada. However, these films failed to make a strong impact commercially.

Similarly, Farhan Akhtar was last seen in Ground Zero and Songs of Paradise. Unfortunately, these films also struggled to connect with audiences.

Even 120 Bahadur could not change their fortunes in theatres. With its OTT release, it remains to be seen whether digital audiences respond more positively.
