Many of us have likely heard the stories of Veerappan, the infamous dacoit turned terrorist with a long mustache from the Satyamangalam forest of Tamil Nadu. A movie was also made on his name, directed by RGV. It seems that the movie makers’ quest for this mysterious man is not going to end anytime soon.
A Netflix documentary series titled “Koose Munisamy Veerappan” was recently made, portraying the story of Veerappan. It was well-received by both the audience and critics. Now, even Zee5 has also released their version of Veerappan.
Directed by Sharath Joshi, “Koose Munisamy Veerappan” is going to be the name of the Veerappan series. It will consist of six episodes that will delve into the events and consequences of the story of this dreadful man. Initially scheduled to premiere on December 8th, the release date was postponed to December 14th, 2023, due to floods and other climatic conditions. The series is available in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada only on Netflix.
