The student of the year is back with another stellar movie of hers. It’s fair to say that the daughter of Chunky Pandey is trying really to establish herself in the industry and is becoming quite successful in it. Her movies are more or less based on Gen Z problems and solutions.
For example if we see Kho Gaye Hum Kaha then it’s quite evident that the movie talked about social anxiety, depression, desperation and more importantly imposter syndrome. From that movie to Lyger to now “Call Me Bae” Ananya is back with her commercial era.
Karan Johar, the most special and well known director and producer of this time shared the poster of Ananya’s new series “Call Me Bae ” on his instagram profile. Call Me Bae’ is directed by Colin D’Cunha, and Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Somen Mishra are the executive producers of this series.
The series follows the story of a billionaire fashionista, Bae played by Ananya herself, this character is disowned by her family because of a scandal, and now she is on her own. Girl in a big city paving the path for herself by overcoming stereotypes, prejudices and what not.
Ananya stays on the hot topic for her stellar fashion sense all the time so she is definitely a good choice for the series, although we will be missing our good old Aisha (Sonam Kapoor) in Bae.
Call Me Bae is about to hit Amazon Prime on September 6th 2024.
