A movie that has generated a good hype is Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer “Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan”. The movie, with its teaser, got a mixed reaction from its audience. However, the lead actors, through vigorous promotion by visiting different cities, have somehow tried to change the mindset of people. And now, the trailer, as it was released today, did not look as dumb as it was expected. It felt like breaking the stereotype with another stereotype.
Directed by Ali Abbas Jafar, who has made movies like “Sultan” and “Tiger Zinda Hai”, has really tried something interesting this time. Remember Bane from “The Dark Knight Rises”, who, without his facial expressions, looked menacing throughout the movie? The same theme is followed here as the chiche psychotic villain, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran, has covered his face with a mask but has done a commendable job with changing his voice tonality.
Another interesting aspect of the trailer is that the makers have gone all out in terms of VFX and CGI. Without holding back, they have shown everything they wanted to. But the catch here comes with its same old repetitive storytelling. To deal with a dangerous plan of the villain, we have two guys who seem to have an interesting bond with each other, calling themselves “Hindustan”. The extra cheesy dialogues and an overused template of a dangerous weapon being carried followed by a heist and a super human idea seem too little exciting for newer audiences who are privy to such plots in numerous movies.
But seeing the confidence of Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, it will be interesting to see whether they are able to change their flop streak or not. “Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan” releases on April 10th. Do let us know your thoughts on the trailer.
