The third season of Bridgerton on Netflix had its largest opening weekend to date, with 45.05 million views in its first half globally following its May 16 launch. This equates to roughly 165.2 million hours of watching.
After a longer run, season two, which premiered in March 2022, garnered over 193 million hours of viewing time worldwide, with an approximate 22.7 million view count on opening weekend. A three-day opening phase was also a feature of season two and makes up a little portion of season three’s lead.
Because Bridgerton on Netflix has a shorter runtime and more subscribers, it had a series-high opening weekend. Additionally, since June 2023, the series has had the greatest weekly watch count of any Netflix series, regardless of language.
In terms of views in a single week, it is ranked second overall, only surpassed by the Millie Bobby Brown film Damsel. With four more episodes coming out in June, Netflix’s top ten English-language shows presently include both of Bridgerton’s prior seasons. With four more episodes due in June after its explosive start, Bridgerton has a good chance of joining them.
