The said OTT platform is Jio Cinema which is the official broadcaster of the IPL and that too in 4K resolution. The OTT player has now announced their newest plan and it costs Rs 29/ month making it the cheapest premium OTT service in India.
While the film library of Jio Cinema is not that substantial as of now, we can count on the Ambani-led group to go extremely aggressive in the days to come. The platform is streaming Oscar winner Oppenheimer and that’s a start.
Jio is already a crowd favourite for their economical services and it has to be seen if they can revolutionise the OTT game as well.
