The teaser for Benedict Cumberbatch and Gaby Hoffmann’s upcoming thriller Eric is now available on Netflix. The popular puppeteer Vincent Sullivan is followed in this limited series, which is set in 1980s New York, as he searches for his son Edgar, who goes missing.
Relishing his son’s paintings of a blue monster puppet called Eric, Vincent is increasingly guilty. Aside from his family, coworkers, and detectives, the titular puppet becomes Vincent’s lone friend in the hunt for Edgar. May 30th is when Eric will be available on Netflix.
Vincent is obsessed with his son’s drawings and is determined to get the character on TV to bring his son home. The emotional thriller, which stars Gaby Hoffmann and McKinley Belcher III, is a fascinating series.
The supporting cast includes Dan Fogler, Clarke Peters, Ivan Morris Howe, Phoebe Nicholls, David Denman, Bamar Kane, Adepero Odyue, Alexis Molnar, and Roberta Colindrez.
The six-part series is created by Abi Morgan and executive produced by Lucy Forbes, with Cumberbatch, Morgan, Jane Featherstone, and Lucy Dyke serving as executive producers.
