The Penguin

While everyone had their opinions about the new Battinson, it was Colin Farrell’s Penguin that came out of the syllabus. Nevertheless, Penguin became the first expansion of the Matt Reeves Batman universe, and now we have a huge update on its release window. CEO of HBO, Casey Bloys revealed in an interview that The Penguin spin-off show will make its debut in the month of September.

It seems that The Penguin will be the initiator of the slew of projects DC has in store for its fans in 2025. The spin-off series will now share its release window with Sean Gunn’s Creature Commandos. At the same time, it will be a good appetizer before we dive into another continuity-driven DC universe, kicking off with James Gunn’s Superman.

The Penguin might also be a hint as to what we can expect from the next Batman movie. Batman: Part 2 has already been delayed once. The Batman universe is yet to be explored further. Meanwhile, The Penguin will be surrounded by other DC projects, but since they are primarily animated content, they might not have much effect on The Penguin.
