From the renowned universe of Dune, created by Frank Herbert, and masterfully executed by Denis Villeneuve, this fall “Dune Prophecy” is about to hit HBO Max, with its six episodes.
Based on Brian Herbert’s novel “ Sisterhood Of Dune”, the series is going to delve into intricate political matters.
The series is very plot and as well as character heavy, the transition from being an ordinary woman to a Bene Gesserit is an extremely powerful move to show on camera.
This women led series has the potential to be one of the greatest series of this decade. The series was initially named “Dune The Sisterhood ”, but later it was changed into “Dune Prophecy”.
Based on 10,000 years before the birth of our holy leader “Paul Atreides”, Dune Prophecy delves into the world of Bene Gesserit, and how they came to life.
It follows two Harkonnen sisters, Valya Harkonnen and Tula Harkonnen, as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit.
The trailer shows amazing aspects of the Bene Gesserit life, which weren’t shown in the first two movies by Denis Villeneuve.
As they possess powers to extract truth from lies, they can even make you do certain things with just a glimpse. The ceremonial pomegranate scene was also shown in the trailer.
This series includes Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Johdi May, Mark Strong, Sarah-Sofie Boussnina, Josh Heuston, Chloe Lea, Jade Anouka, Faoileann Cunningham, Edward Davis, Aoife Hinds, Chris Mason, and Shalom Brune-Franklin, as their cast, and from sources it was known the Indian actress Tabu and The South Korean actress Alum Jihae, will also be in recurring roles.
Although, there was no sign of Tabu in the trailer, which initially left the Indian audience sad.
