Ridley Scott’s historical epic ‘Napoleon’ is all set to hit the digital screens next month. After getting a decent release worldwide, it will be available for streaming on Apple TV+ from March 1.
The movie stars Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role who did his best to portray the ‘Little Corporal’ as he took the reins of France and began his quest across Europe.
Starring opposite Phoenix is Vanessa Kirby who portrayed Josephine Bonaparte, the first wife and Queen of France from 1805-1810. Apart from focussing on Napoleon’s quest, the movie gives a rather detailed version of Bonaparte’s life with his wife Josephine.
The movie has been one of the most anticipated movies of 2023 given the stature Napoleon had in history. It recieved mixed reviews from fans, many calling it not accurate to the reality which could have been one of the reasons for its sub-standard performance on the box office $219.9 million against a budget of around $200 million.
It may get a better response on Apple TV+ given many people have started to prefer watching movies in the comfort of their homes.
