The superhero animated series “Invincible” is set to continue and have seasons 4 & 5. This stunning, roller-coaster equivalent, adrenaline-inducing show is being renewed for two more seasons is the exact news fans have been waiting for.
We live in the era where superhero movies and series gain the largest amount of audience and are able to create a loyal fanbase who will react to even the tiniest hint of content. Two giants have led this wave since the early 2000s, “Marvel” and “DC”. The abundance of fan-catering superhero flicks from these 2 giants as well as others have witnessed decreasing numbers in audiences.
Even the term “Superhero Fatigue”, indicates the same. But “Invincible”, is different. From the very first season, this animated series has made it clear with its bold animation, gruesome action, gritty plot, and a stellar cast, including “Steven Yeun”, “Lauren Cohan”, “Sandra Oh”, and “J. K. Simmons”, to name a few, that it is not your regular PG-13 superhero flick. Though it is often compared to the other gritty plot-driven live adaptation show, “The Boys”, “Invincible” at its core is different and in some cases better.
Apart from the amazing writing and engaging narrative, the fluidly animated and well-choreographed action sequences are something every superhero fan craves. With its addictive and crisp plot, unpredictable characters, and now three more upcoming seasons (seasons 3, 4 & 5), this series truly seems invincible as a superhero binge flick.
