Useless OTT Premium? Ads Even in Downloaded Shows

JioHotstar premium ads

As JioHotstar continues to battle a wave of user complaints over its persistent advertisements, yet another problem with a similar theme has surfaced. This ongoing issue has added to the frustration of premium subscribers who expected a smoother, ad-free experience.

Despite opting for premium plans, JioHotstar users are reporting the presence of advertisements even during offline viewing. The expectation was clear—premium means uninterrupted content—but the reality has disappointed many loyal users. Attempts to dodge the issue by downloading content have not helped either.

Several users, expecting seamless offline viewing, found themselves confronted with ads and buffering during playback. This experience has left many questioning the value of their subscription. One user even highlighted how these interruptions occurred during downloaded content, breaking the illusion of ad-free entertainment.

Adding to the frustration, another user noted how a 400 MB episode took more than six minutes to download despite having a 40 Mbps internet connection. This slow performance, combined with persistent ads, has only intensified dissatisfaction among viewers.

With the ad-related concerns growing louder, JioHotstar seems to be struggling to deliver a consistent, premium-grade streaming experience. Whether the platform will take steps to resolve these issues or continue losing user trust remains to be seen.
