Laapata Ladies deals with the oppression that is faced by ladies in lower-income households in the rural pockets up North. It touches on a relevant and thought-provoking social message.
Social satires do have their own patronage in the OTT space and this is explored by this Netflix original. The film is powered by fine performances from the lead cast as well.
While this might not be a mainstream option for the Telugu audience, it sure is a comfortably good watch for the sensible and other-language accepting folk. It could be another alternative to the conventional new Telugu debutants – Tillu Square and Family Star.
