With the ever-increasing competition among OTT platforms, streaming services always need to keep offering something interesting to their subscribers to keep them hooked. Recently, this has been achieved by the merger of the Disney+ and Hulu apps. This move might help them attract newer audiences.
It is being said that the subscribers of both platforms will get all the benefits of Disney+ and Hulu. The merged app will exist alone but also appear as a slide in Disney+. The pricing of both apps hasn’t changed yet. Shows from Hulu will also appear on Disney+ Hotstar, but the catch is that you need to sign up for Hulu to access them.
This isn’t the first time such a collaboration has taken place; before this, they have merged Marvel, Pixar, and National Geographic.
This merger will work as a boon for the audience, offering too many new shows. This will also include adult shows that premiere on the Hulu app. Now, this might create some issues as Disney+ is more of a family-friendly app, and adding adult shows to it might spice things up. Well, the response can only be anticipated as of now. Do let us know your reaction.
