Akshay Kumar experienced a hit after more than 2 years with OMG2. The recent slate of Akshay Kumar movies has been quite underwhelming, with “Oh My God 2” being an exception as it was a surprise hit despite dealing with a sensitive issue. However, with movies like “Lakshmi,” “Selfie,” “Samrat Prithviraj,” “Ramsetu,” and many more, these consecutive flops have severely affected his career. Now that he is back on track, audiences expect another hit movie from his side. Unfortunately, what we get is just another average-looking trailer based on a terrible incident.
The movie “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” is inspired by true events that happened in Raniganj. However, the way the trailer is cut gives an underwhelming impression of a potentially powerful movie. The pale VFX used in the flood scene and the generic tropes of one savior amidst the chaos are a few things that distance viewers from the core of the movie. It looks like the man who was once one of the most successful stars a few years back is making a safe play only to get another hit.
Will the movie help Akshay Kumar regain his throne, or will it add to the number of duds in his recent filmography? The result will be seen after the release only. “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” directed by Tinu Desai starring Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra, and Kumud Mishra will be released worldwide in theaters on 6th October.
