Netflix Coming Back With Horrifying Murder Tail!

The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth.

Netflix India has announced the premiere date for its upcoming docuseries, The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth. The show is shedding light on the sensational Sheena Bora murder case that shook the nation back in 2015. It is set to premiere on the popular streaming platform on February 23.

The announcement comes on the heels of Indrani Mukerjea’s 2023 memoir, Unbroken: The Untold Story, where the accused in the Sheena Bora case delves into her life including recounts from six years behind bars. Notably, Indrani Mukerjea is currently out on bail.

The released poster, with Indrani’s face partially covered, adds an air of mystery to the unfolding narrative. Netflix’s Instagram caption also teases the audience with a promise to unveil “one family’s darkest secrets” at the heart of the scandal.

The documentary is spearheaded by interviews with Indrani Mukerjea herself, her children, veteran journalists, and legal experts and aims to peel back the layers of the ‘sensational’ murder of Sheena Bora. The 2015 arrest of Indrani Mukerjea, who was previously married to media tycoon Peter Mukerjea, will also be explored, promising an in-depth look into the intricate web of family dynamics and motivations.

This Netflix series follows in the footsteps of another gripping true-crime documentary, Curry and Cyanide: The Jolly Joseph Case, released in 2023. The latter delves into the story of Jolly Joseph, a woman from a small Kerala village, Koodathai, who is accused of killing six family members over 14 years.
