Eichiro Oda’s manga, One Piece, received a Netflix live-action adaptation in 2023. While the adaptation received mixed reactions from the fans, the one thing the series absolutely crushed was the casting. Now One Piece is returning with a second season and is aiming to achieve the same perfect casting as season one. Season two will see Monkey D. Luffy and his crew of straw-hat pirates go against the Baroque villains. The casting has already been made official.
The Baroque works villains include Miss Valentine, Mr. 3, Mr. 5, and Mr. 9. All of whom have been cast, and we can see the vision and aim after the casting choices. Miss Valentine will be brought to life by Jazzara Jaslyn. While the role of Mr. 3 has landed in the hands of David Dastmalchian, Mr. 5 and Mr. 9 will be played by Camrus Johnson and Daniel Lasker, respectively.
The Baroque Works organization is led by the cunning Crocodile, who aims to be the pirate king, making him a rival in Luffy’s journey. One Piece has already made a name for spot-on casting with Iñaki Godoy’s Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu’s Zoro, and Emily Rudd’s Nami. We can see the vision of Eichiro Oda and the people at Netflix. The filming will begin this month, with an expected release date of 2025.
