Jim Parsons, who portrayed Sheldon Cooper on Young Sheldon and The Big Bang Theory, has declared that he will not be playing the role again in the near future. He claimed that the only way to reproduce his persona would be through reincarnation.
Parsons is still open to portraying his role, though, and on May 16 he made an appearance as an adult Sheldon in the Young Sheldon prequel series finale. He called it “very, very special” and claimed it was the second time he has done so since The Big Bang Theory’s finale.

The 51-year-old actor has been reflecting about his farewell performance as Young Sheldon, a character from the television series, for weeks. He said that once the last programme was finished for him, it was aired globally.
In the climax, Parsons was shown alongside Sheldon’s father George Cooper, who passed away after a heart attack. As a follow-up series on his brother, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, is now in development, fans will still get to witness the last of Sheldon’s family.
