“Oppenheimer” was first released on Peacock, a famous OTT streaming platform. The platform announced that the movie became “one of the most-watched films” in its first week, accumulating over 821 million watch minutes. This contributed to the movie’s overall performance, boosting its global box office collection to $954 million according to Nielsen’s data.

Regarding achievements, the film received 13 nominations for the Academy Awards and earned 8 nominations for the Golden Globes, winning 5 awards out of its total nominations.

Nolan’s other movies, such as “Inception” and “The Dark Knight,” are also available on the platform. After the Academy nominations, these movies have grabbed attention from other platforms as well, further increasing their viewership due to their success on Peacock. The Nolan-mania is not a joke now to the filmmaker in increasing the collection for his movies.
