Gopichand stars in the movie ‘Bhimaa’ in two different roles, alongside actors like Malavika Sharma, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nassar, Vennela Kishore, and more.
Although ‘Bhimaa’ didn’t perform well in theaters, it’s now available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar starting April 25, 2024.

The reception from the OTT audience isn’t much different from the theatrical audience. Except for some action episodes and the climax, the film has been declared mediocre by most of the digital audience.
But what most found jarring was the outdated romance shown between Gopichand and Malavika Sharma.

The way Gopichand was shown ogling at the heroine’s back was beyond cringeworthy. And the shocking part is that it was shown again and again, repeatedly, making the audience uncomfortable and difficult to sit through.
The depiction of such behavior as romantic or comedic is not only outdated but also insensitive, particularly in 2024, where there is a growing emphasis on respectful and consensual relationships.
