Karan Johar and Akshay Kumar are teaming up for a new OTT reality show titled Pitch to Get Rich. Inspired by the popularity of Shark Tank, this series promises a fresh take with a strong focus on fashion entrepreneurship.
The teaser, unveiled by Karan Johar, shows that the series is produced by the Fashion Entrepreneur Fund (FEF) and Dharmatic Entertainment. With an investment pool of ₹30 crore, it is designed to turn innovative fashion ideas into thriving businesses.
Streaming from 20th October, the show features Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, Manish Malhotra, and Malaika Arora as judges, mentors, and investors. They will work alongside business leaders like Naveen Jindal, Dhruv Sharma, Ravi Jaipuria, Darpan Sanghvi, Gaurav Dalmia, Vagish Pathak, and Vinod Dugar.
Together, they will guide 14 selected founders through tough business challenges while offering mentorship and funding. The show aims to inspire young fashion entrepreneurs and promote innovation in India’s growing fashion industry.
Fans, however, are divided. Some question Akshay Kumar’s role in this format, while others highlight Karan Johar’s growing interest in reality TV. This marks his second outing after The Traitors, suggesting a shift from filmmaking to the reality show space.
Many viewers feel reality TV brings him more opportunities through brand partnerships and business tie-ups. At the same time, his audience continues to hope for his return to films, eagerly waiting for another signature Bollywood entertainer from him.
