Netflix is indeed becoming the dumping ground for most platforms, as they don’t forget to cash in with popular titles. As Disney is struggling pretty badly, they didn’t make an exception; shocking as it is, they’ve let some big titles go to the red and black side of the streaming world.
Now, facing significant blows, Disney has decided to let Netflix stream some of their popular titles, and it is coming out as a big shock.
The shows under the transfer are:
This is Us – Jan 8
The Resident – March 4
White Collar – April 1
Archer – May 13
How I Met Your Mother – June 3
Lost – July 1
Prison Break – July 29
Obviously, none of the shows are earth-shattering, but they do maintain evergreen traffic, as HIMYM and Prison Break have a very strong fanbase. Also, fans frequently revisit the episodes.
There is zero to no possibility that one of them will be a late bloomer like Suits. Still, Disney bidding them goodbye seems like a really rash decision, as they have been strong assets throughout the years.
Especially when a new Prison Break film is in talks, Disney is again the victim of bad management.
