The device limit of Prime Video has started implementing and Indian Users have a problem with it. There will be a limit of five devices and two of them can be TVs and for more devices, users will have to buy another subscription.
But there is still not the flexibility to choose what these devices can be. There is a monthly limit on the removal of devices too, which makes no sense to users. Only two devices can be removed in one month.
There are subscribers who need to remove devices if TVs malfunction or there is some other necessity, and still cannot change the devices until the monthly limit crosses.
Netizens complain that the ‘Devices Limit Reached’ policy is impractical as there are some families that have more family members and they will have to take two or three subscriptions for that.
But these OTT changes are very new to Indian users and these things will take time to be implemented smoothly. Policies like no password sharing and device limits are new to western countries as well, but as India got exposed to OTT only a few years back, it will take more time here to seep in.
