In the long slate of Prime Video shows, a few more announcements have come. These are related to shows that fall in the slice-of-life category.
The first one is about the youth sensation Ananya Pandey, who has recently received huge praise for her performance in “Kho Gaye Hum Kaha.” In this show, “Call Me Bae,” Ananya Pandey portrays a different shade as she tries to find her true self amidst the busy life of Mumbai. When a girl coming from a rich background is told to hustle, she faces innumerable issues. This show will star Ananya Pandey and the famous comedian and actor Vir Das in lead roles.
Another interesting story is titled “Mehta Boys,” starring Boman Irani and Avinash Tiwari in lead roles. An odd father-son relationship is depicted, in which they need to spend 48 hours together. It shows a very firm yet delicate bond between these two leads. This will be Avinash’s second collaboration with Prime Video after the blockbuster show “Bambai Meri Jaan.”
Other than these, there are also many shows like “Daring Partners” and “In Transit” that have been announced. Further updates about these shows will be provided later. But this strategy of announcing too many projects at once is a great hype-building strategy which might work at times.
