Paul Bettany’s character Vision is ready for a 2026 Disney+ series. In the 2021 film “WandaVision,” Vision made two appearances: initially, as a phantom construct created by Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), and later, as a rebuilt android possessing a ghost white appearance.
The events of the “WandaVision” finale will be continued in the new series as Vision investigates his newfound calling in life. The upper brass at the studio was thrilled by Matalas’ work on “Star Trek: Picard”‘s third season as well as the series finale in 2023.
Marvel used to use a features model, wherein directors and creative executives handled most of the leadership duties while head writers were hired to develop specified series.
Marvel is going back to a more conventional strategy beginning in 2022, which will involve hiring writer-producers again to serve as showrunners and extending the development time.
In addition, the firm is cutting back on the number of live-action TV episodes it produces each year to about two and rebranding it as Marvel Television. In addition to writing for several TV shows, Matalas has refurbished a number of “Back to the Future” DeLoreans.
