It has been quite a few days since Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ made its Netflix debut on January 30th.
Since then, although the film has managed a decent collection, it has not reached the mark that was expected from a film of such huge magnitude.
The film managed to make a first-week collection of Rs. 5.8 million, according to media reports.
Although this collection seems very good, it begins to reveal its cracks when compared with the likes of ‘Animal’ and ‘Fighter’.
While Animal had managed a first-week collection of Rs. 6.2 million, Fighter had collected Rs. 5.9 million during its first week.
Compared to both of these, Pushpa 2’s first-week collection of Rs. 5.8 million seems lacklustre.
The public seemed shocked at this reveal, especially when they did not expect Pushpa 2 to fall behind a film like Fighter.
It will be interesting to see if or when things change for Pushpa 2 as it continues its OTT run on Netflix.
