The relationship between the fans and Snyder has always been great. They have backed the director in his WB and DC days, and it’s time for Snyder to gift them something special. He previously confirmed a Snyderverse, which includes Army Of The Dead and Rebel Moon.
Now, the director, in his recent statements, confirmed that he and Netflix are also making a longer Director’s Cut, as that’s something fans absolutely love.
The original version of the film will have a PG-13 rating and will be divided into two parts.
“I’m super proud of the PG-13 version, the broader audience version because I would say it really satisfies an awesome, timeless, mythological scope,” Snyder said. “What we’ve done with the other version is fun and subversive because an R-rated sci-fi movie at this scale shouldn’t exist.”
In the Director’s cut, Snyder promises that it will be at least an hour long and will be much more violent. Snyder also says that Netflix has been planning this from the very beginning, so it won’t be an impulse decision by both parties.
The first part, Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire, will be streaming on Netflix from December 22nd.
