Rohit Shetty, bringing together Singham, Simba, and Suryawanshi in one movie, initiated a successful mainstream Hindi cinematic universe. Now, he ventures into the OTT world with an Amazon Prime Video series called “Indian Police Force,” featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi.
The trailer dropped today, unfolds with a series of bomb blasts threatening Delhi’s security and the police force’s reputation. Vivek Oberoi’s character, Vikram, along with his team which includes Sidharth Malhotra as well, must apprehend the culprits before they escape. Shilpa Shetty is also seen in an action-packed role. The antagonist, played by Sharad Kelkar, remains silent, hinting at a character exploration within the show.
There is an excessive use of the yellow color palette which seems jarring at a few moments,overall the trailer is full of typical Rohit Shetty elements – thrilling tropes, national security, and cars soaring through the air. “Indian Police Force” will premiere on January 19, 2024 only on Prime Video.
