Sarfira Trailer: Akshay Kumar Ready with Another Crap Remake

Sarfira

Gone are the days of Akshay Kumar, who was once the definition of consistency and success. Each of his movies not only performed well at the box office but also received good reviews from critics. However, something has changed since Sooryavanshi. He has delivered several consecutive flops like Ram Setu, Selfie, Samrat Prithviraj, and Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan. Now, he is back with another remake of Suriya’s highly acclaimed Soorarai Pottru.

The trailer of Sarfira, which was released today, shows a very bland treatment of a movie that was considered a heartfelt story made out of pure love. Sarfira is the story of a normal middle-class guy who has an idea to make flights affordable for everyone. These low-cost flights do not align with the capitalist approach of Paresh Rawal, who plays the villain.

The original movie starring Suriya had an amazing background score that drove the story well, but this Akshay Kumar remake lacks it. It also pales in many other aspects, such as revealing too much in the trailer itself. Additionally, casting Radhika Madan as the female lead alongside Akshay Kumar seems quite off, potentially sparking the controversial age gap issue between Bollywood actors once again.

Nevertheless, the movie is directed by Sudha Kongara, and interestingly, we also get to see a glimpse of Suriya in the trailer. Overall, the trailer makes it clear that Akshay Kumar is not likely to see his dream box office run in the near future. Let us know your thoughts on the trailer.
