Last year Ajay Devgn starred in Bhola which was an interesting concept but poor execution left everyone craving. But as the teaser of Shaitan dropped a month ago, it generated excitement among fans as Hindi cinema is finally getting an actual psychological horror with no cringe elements.
The trailer begins with a woman seeking out help from police regarding a complete stranger who has entered her house and refuses to go back. Initially,the stranger feels harmless to the woman and her husband. But as the time passes by, his presence becomes more concerning and it reaches its peak when he starts his dark tricks.
His devilish play starts with him using hypnosis over their daughter and using her as a vessel to plot out his horrors. From her nerve racking screams to stabbing her own father, leading the story to turn into a complete nightmare.
Most of the scenes are shot in a closed space and the eerie environment is enough to make you creep throughout. It’s like a spine chilling nightmare which stars Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika Saravanan and Janki Bodiwala in lead roles.
