There has been a very disturbing trend in India. Mediocre movies are being sold in the name of great performances and it is sad. Every component of filmmaking has its own importance and none should overpower the other. Similarly, none should compensate for the other.
The case with “Silence…Can You Hear It?” is similar. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, Prachi Desai, Dinker Sharma, Chetan Sharma, Shahid Vaid and Parul Gulati.
So what’s up with the film?
It is a sequel to Silence which was released back in 2021. Manoj Bajpayee and Zee5 are an explosive combination as the duo gave a monstrous hit in the name of “Sirf Ek Bandaa Kafi Hai”.
They are back together but the concoction is not strong enough this time. The story is bland, the execution is poor and it was pretty evident from the trailer itself. Still, you gotta be careful with your choices. Silence 2 is simply not the kind of detective thriller you wanna invest your time in.
There are tons of better films that are craving little attention from the audience but they fail to get so.
Chamkila is one such film that deserves your time and attention. Better watch that musical biopic in comparison to this trash.
